Inspiration can sometimes come from unexpected sources. Take the new, “High Heels Crossing” design for example, which was just added to our online store today.

I was recently waiting in hours of traffic (as one normally does living in Miami), when I found myself starring endlessly at a rail road crossing sign. The black and white sign is something I’ve always been familiar with, but never really focused on it for more than a few seconds.

I became inspired by the simplicity of the cross-like design, and usage of overlaying text. I instantly thought of a way to put a Gold Saturn spin on it. I replaced “Railroad” with “High Heels,” and included an illustration of Christian Louboutin pumps I had drawn a few months ago.

The High Heels Crossing comes in a racer-back tank top in night ($40), and in a wide neck tee in fog ($42). Wear them over-sized with distressed denim cutoffs, bold colored lips, thigh-high socks, and most importantly… high heels!
